Columbia, S.C. (February 1, 2024)Pvolve, the omni-channel fitness company with an innovative, science-led method that pairs functional movement with proprietary equipment, will open its first South Carolina studio in May 2024 at the BullStreet District.

Located on the ground floor of the luxury apartment complex of Bennet at BullStreet in the heart of the BullStreet District, the new studio in Columbia, S.C. will allow for a premium way to experience Pvolve’s signature, low-impact method with highly credentialed trainers.

Pvolve Columbia is owned and operated by Ashley Lamb, a Lexington, S.C. native and University of South Carolina graduate. “I started streaming Pvolve classes online over five years ago, and was instantly hooked,” says Lamb. “I have always been an active person but had never worked out in a way that didn’t hurt my body until I found Pvolve. The science-led training method was a game-changer for me. I’m very passionate about Pvolve and over the years have told so many people about it so they could experience it for themselves. When Pvolve offered franchising, I knew it was something I wanted to bring to Columbia and introduce to our community.”

The recent Healthy Aging Study by researchers at the University of Exeter, a leading research university in sports medicine and science, found that Pvolve’s functional fitness method measurably improves strength, balance, and flexibility in women over 40.*

“We’re excited to have South Carolina’s first Pvolve coming to the BullStreet District,” says Robert Hughes, president and CEO of Hughes Development Corporation. “The young company’s history is built on an entrepreneur with an idea on how to make life better for people of all ages, which is exactly the vision for BullStreet.”

Pvolve Columbia offers membership options that fit a variety of fitness needs, schedules and spending levels. The three tiers of membership include Unlimited, Starter and Flex.

Those who sign up for a founding membership prior to the grand opening will lock in a lifetime discounted rate. Founding members receive additional benefits, including access to on-demand and live virtual classes at Pvolve.com and on the Pvolve app; two-week booking period; 10% off on equipment and apparel purchases; access to VIP exclusive studio events and more.

About Pvolve

Pvolve is an omnichannel fitness company with a science-led method that pairs low-impact, functional movement with patented resistance equipment to sculpt, strengthen, and restore the body while enhancing mobility and flexibility. After being introduced to functional fitness in 2017, founder Rachel Katzman was determined to help others experience an approach that respects the body’s holistic needs while making you look and feel great. The Pvolve Method is supported by a Clinical Advisory Board of doctors, as well as highly credentialed trainers, to offer effective workouts that help you break a sweat, not your body. In June 2023, world-renowned actress, producer, and director, Jennifer Aniston, officially partnered with Pvolve after falling in love with the method as a member. Through its hybrid fitness model, Pvolve can be experienced through a streaming membership that offers over 1,300 on-demand classes, a two-way, live virtual studio, and targeted series, all available via the web and mobile apps. Additionally, Pvolve has physical studio locations in  New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, and franchises across the US and Canada, with more than 35 locations in development.
