Expanding Culinary Boundaries

Redefining the food scene one offering at a time

Future of food

Where delicious is redefined every day. You can linger over a 4-course, conceptual pop-up brunch, clink glasses before belting out your favorite karaoke tune, or revel in the latest in mobile cuisine. With thousands of high-tech, healthcare, and state employees within blocks of BullStreet and burgeoning neighborhoods nearby, there is plenty of appetite for what the district has to offer.
The BullStreet District offers local and nationally acclaimed restaurateurs the opportunity to expand their culinary experiments in a city on the rise. With a growing food scene and a bevy of new chefs choosing to innovate in Columbia, S.C., BullStreet offers the endless opportunities to continue to push the envelope for food in one of the most progressive cities in the Southeast.

Essential Brewing

Located adjacent to the REI Co-op, Starbucks opened a 2,500-square-foot freestanding store in January 2021, right off the reconfigured Freed Street. The International coffee retailer offers outdoor patio seating and a drive through lane for the 46,700 commuters passing on Bull Street each day. Neighboring the new Starbucks store will be Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant, slated to open in the fall of 2022. Opening its second location in South Carolina, the 7,500 square-foot brewery and restaurant will offer craft beers, great food, and quality service, featuring an on-site brewing facility, a bar area, dining room and outdoor seating for its customers.

Publico Kitchen and Tap

Located on the concourse of Segra Park, Publico Kitchen and Tap is housed inside the historic Ensor Building. The Latin-Asian fusion restaurant features a large patio with outdoor seating, storefront garage doors, and a large built-in bar.

The Columbia food scene is buzzing with new and exciting restaurants popping up all the time, while seasoned chefs continue to marvel diners with their culinary creations. There has never been a better time to create the next culinary experience in Columbia, SC and The BullStreet District is no exception. Historic buildings, outdoor venues and restaurant concepts overlooking Segra Park are just a few of the choices that await you. The possibilities (and your potential) are limitless.

WestLawn at BullStreet is the first building of its kind built with cross-laminated timber, an environmentally friendly, sustainable and renewable building material. The first floor will feature steel beams and 10’ windows looking out onto a pedestrian friendly gathering area. Adjacent parking garage with covered walkway and above market parking ratios is available. This location is in the heart of The BullStreet District, steps from REI, Starbucks, and more.

In the center of the BullStreet District, the First Base Building is BullStreet’s first mixed-use retail and office building. With incredible restaurant space on the ground floor, the First Base Building fronts Boyce Street and offers access to the Segra Park concourse and the future luxury apartments Bennet at BullStreet. Imagine your diners enjoying a baseball game or concert from your private patio, or walking a few laps of the ballpark after their meal. This opportunity doesn’t exist anywhere else in Columbia!
