We have had a couple of customers who needed the Car2U and the Homelink repeater due to different mfg vehicles at the same location. And I don't think anyone has mentioned that when the power goes out, the 8550 may still be able to function but the repeater will be plugged into a dead outlet. Works fine with the hand held remotes but would not work with any of the vehicles using Homelink.
